Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well.

Things are fine here. I'm working on the scenes with the swimsuit you guys voted for. Lilith 7 (Nikki's base character asset) comes with a make up preset that matches the colors of the swimsuit, I thought this was quite serendipitous so I decided to go ahead and use it. It does seem strange seeing her in make up but it makes a nice change.
As I get closer to finishing the next update I've been thinking a little about what I'll do after.
I hope to get this update released early next month if all goes well.
Then I think I'll go back and polish everything up and release a final version of the game before I start on anything new. Hopefully this should not take too long and I can get it done before December.
Like previous years my day job tends to get very busy around the holiday season so I'll put work here on hold (And pause billing of course). This should hopefully also give me some time to get together some ideas for my next project.
A few of you may know that The Visit started off as just a simple demo project, just something I made to see if I could actually put something together. I never had plans to make more than what is now the prologue. I was encouraged to continue it and so I did. This meant I didn't really have a story already written to work to and have just been following a vague outline in my head. I hope to write something a lot more substantial for my next project before I start working on renders etc. I'll probably keep billing paused until I have some real work to share with you guys. We'll see how it goes.

I said last week I'd do some fun renders of Karen and Haley as we won't be seeing them again. We saw Karen last week to this time it's Haley.





I think she's been missing us.

Hi guys, I hope you are all doing well.

Things are good here, I finished up a couple of animations I was working on. I had to go back to an older version of Daz studio because of the bugs in the current version. Now I've already finished them a new beta version has just been released, great timing! Oh well, I still have some more animations to do yet so I can't complain too much.
I've only just downloaded the new beta and it has a pretty cool new feature. A seemingly much improved real time renderer for the viewport. The old OpenGL based renderer was pretty bad, it really doesn't work well with the PBR materials Iray requires and typically looks nothing like what Iray produces. It can also just be plain hard to work with because everything looks the same color at times. Here take a look.

It's like night and day (quite literally :) ). Hopefully this will make posing the characters easier and faster. We'll see I guess.

It got more than double the votes than any of the other options, which to be honest surprised me. I felt it was one of the weaker options and I almost didn't even add it to the list. But you guys have spoken and I'll trust in your choice :). I opened up the thread if anyone wants to see what the other options were.

Anyways, I mentioned last week we would not see Karen or Haley in this final ending so I guess it's only fair they get a bit of attention here.

Hi guys, I hope you are all doing well.

I can't think of much to say this week, nothing interesting to report.

I do quite like how the above render turned out though. Sometimes they just come our better than expected and leave me pleasantly surprised. The whole set was slapped together from different assets with a few little extra touches of my own. I'm quite happy with it to be honest.
You may have noticed a complete lack of Karen or Haley in any of the previews. That's because they will not be appearing in this ending at all. I decided make with ending focus solely on Nikki. Rosa might feature a little, I'm not 100% decided on this yet.

Anyways, I did few new fun 4k renders of Nikki this week instead of rehashing old ones, though I did mess about with some more hair styles again. I don't know about you guys but hair really makes a major difference to how sexy a character appears. I can just pretend this is research.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing okay.

Things are fine here, no problems to speak of so far. That might change though as I want to try and get some animations done this week.

Daz has a bug where it doesn't save certain data in an animation. I could spend a day creating an animation, save and then load only to find half of my work gone. (This actually happened last update :( )
It's a known issue and supposedly it has already been fixed in the latest private beta version, I've been hoping for a new update to the public version asap. I thought the new RTX 30 series GPU's might prompt then to release an update sooner rather than later as they do not work with the current version.
I can sort of get around the issue by simply saving every single frame in my animation as a separate file, it just means I have to complete the animation in one sitting and hope daz doesn't crash. I could also try and obtain an older version of daz and create my animations on that. Neither is ideal.

I had a poll on an outfit for Nikki, the winner was the swimsuit.



I've opened up the post so you guys can check out what the other options were. Currently there is another poll to choose the color of the swimsuit so go vote if you can.

I often hear that people don't like Nikki's hair, that it's too short etc...
I like it and have no plans to change it, however I thought it would be fun to see what she would look like with different hair.
I went back to a few renders I made in the past and tried a few different styles. I found it quite hard to find styles that looked okay and not too jarring. I'm so used to the short hair everything else seems wrong to me. But anyway, tell me what you guys think.

Hi guys, I hope you are all keeping well.

Everything is okay here.
I've been busy making some sexy scenes on a new set I created. Sometimes I can't find assets that fit what I need (or they don't exist). I end up having to mix and match lots of different things to try and get the look I want. I quite like what I came up with.
Above is the location I mentioned last week, I managed to cram about 20 characters into the background (not all in this particular render) without running out of Vram or resorting to rendering the image in sections. While the background characters don't hold up to close scrutiny they are passable when in the background and subject to blur from depth of field.

I also have to two new characters that we'll see in a bit more detail.



They are named Milly and Mandy at the moment but I'm open to suggestions.

I considered creating a scene with Professor McKenna but in the end felt my time would be better spent creating more Nikki content.
But not to completely forget her she this the subject of this week's 4k fun renders.
She must be missing the MC because she's had to get herself a new toy.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing okay.

Things are good here, I've just spent the last two days setting up a new location and some new minor characters I want to use. Should be worth the effort though, I'll be sure to give you guys a preview next week. I also learned a bit more about how I can place lots of characters in the background of my scenes without using too much Vram too, hopefully making them feel a bit more alive.
I put a poll up at the weekend, if you're a $10+ patron be sure to check that out.

I'm putting the custom renders on hold for a while. The scenarios were getting increasingly elaborate, which was great but I was perhaps spending too much time on them.
That doesn't mean I won't still try and do some fun renders for you each week though.
This week we have Nikki and Haley. I don't know how they got into this position, maybe you guys can think of something, but I think I know what happens next.

В кавычках, потому что будет добавлена незапланированная концовка Никки. Как и когда неизвестно.

Эта сцена - версия 0.11, развилка между концовками (мама, мама+тётя, мама+тётя+девушка), все сюжетные решения уже приняты до неё.
На счёт "показывало" не знаю, должно отображать текущую версию, согласно имени папки архива/игры.

Могу лишь рекомендоваться удалить c:\Users\ИМЯ УЧЁТНОЙ ЗАПИСИ\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ПАПКА ИГРЫ, тем самым удалив настройки и сохранения, иначе они могут вызвать ошибки конфликтуя между оригинальной и версией с переводом. В указанную папку (во всех Ren'Py играх) копируется содержимое папок save.

и ещё вопрос. пробовал установить версии,которые ты уже до этого скидывал, но они не работали, а показывало будто у меня старая версия. пробовал и в другие папки кидать, и удалять. ничего не дало это

Hi guys, I hope you are are well.

Things are fine here and I'm back into the swing of things.
So with Nikki's ending not really being planned I'm gonna have to go back and mess around with how the game decides what ending you get. This will probably mean having to start the game from the beginning to get the new ending. I might overhaul the whole thing anyway, we'll see.

A few people have asked if I have any info to share on any future projects. Right now the answer is no. Not because I don't want to share but because I don't have anything. I've got a few nascent ideas and that's about it.
I've started doing my game renders in 4k and then downsampling to 1080p. I'm not giving them any extra render time, in theory the GPU is still going to cast the same amount of rays, just spread over more pixels, still I'm hoping it may improve image quality slightly. I'm not 100% sure it does but it we'll see. The Dr. Williams and Officer Juru scene in the last update was all done at 4k and downsampled. Perhaps you guys noticed a difference?

Anyway, what is 4k is this week's custom renders. The patron behind this scenario wished to remain anonymous however I'm sure you'll all wish to give your thanks anyway.

Taking a break

Hi guys, I trust you are all well.

I hope you all enjoyed the last update. If you've not played it go go go.

I don't have anything for you this week, but as the title says I'm going to take a break.
There is still a little bit of summer left and I've lots of real world jobs to do that have been neglected for quite a while now, so this seems like a good time.
I'm thinking I'll take a break until the end of the month. I'll of course pause patreon charging you guys at the end of the month. When I come back, hopefully refreshed and recharged I'll start working on the ending for Nikki.

I hope you understand, you're all awesome.
